Even as a kid, I loved photography, taking pictures with disposable cameras as often as I could. Then - in my mid-20s - my husband gifted me a Canon point-and-shoot, and I embarked on a journey, one that would take my photography to the next level. While I knew next to nothing about professional photography, it captivated me.

The weather in Austin, Texas in February can be all over the place! One of my favorite things are those warm sunny breaks that you can count on in Texas during Winter and miraculously Sarah and Charles were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day for their wedding! Tucked into the stunning Texas Hill Country, the Villa Antonia provided a picture perfect backdrop for an intimate ceremony filled with love and joy! We had a beautiful sunny afternoon, and for icing on the cake, we got just the right amount of wind to give us some glamorous windswept Vanity Fair shots of Sarah during the first look.
Sarah and I clicked right away over our mutual love of animals, something that I learned was a pretty constant theme of both of ours during the bridal party speeches ??. I also had the pleasure of meeting her lovely mother and father during our initial meeting and could tell that her family was incredibly close as we all chatted over coffee. From that very first meeting I could tell that Sarah was an incredibly special person and someone I definitely wanted to work with! Not only was she beautiful and intelligent but she had such a laid-back confidence about her and was incredibly caring with her son Levi (seriously one of the cutest members of a wedding ceremony I’ve ever seen!). As we discussed her wedding and the plans she had put together with Villa Antonia’s coordinator; Chris Spady, I only got more and more excited!
Sarah, Charles, and Levi, from our first meeting to the close of your wedding day it was crystal clear the over pouring amount of love and dedication you share as a family. Some of my favorite moments of the day were the three of you up at the alter embracing, the touching speeches lovingly delivered by friends and family (especially the Duke contingency!), and of course the cat napkins! As I watched your interactions and we got to share some quite moments during your wedding day I could tell how perfect you are together. It was an honor to be able to part of such a touching day and see such a loving family. I hope you both love your photos, I can tell you that I absolutely adored taking them and love them even more after going through them. I think on of the rare powers that photographs hold is the ability to preserve not only events but to capture the emotions of them as well. My wish is that you look back on these photos as you celebrate anniversaries and the other joys that await you in life and are always able to feel the love and excitement of your wedding day!
