Even as a kid, I loved photography, taking pictures with disposable cameras as often as I could. Then - in my mid-20s - my husband gifted me a Canon point-and-shoot, and I embarked on a journey, one that would take my photography to the next level. While I knew next to nothing about professional photography, it captivated me.

I am so thrilled to share Bethany and Victor’s Star Hill Ranch wedding with you today! This was my last wedding for 2018 and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to wrap up this wedding season. On top of a beautiful wedding filled with amazing people, it was also a beautiful November day! Considering the crazy weather changes this month, this gorgeous day was a blessing. Huge thank you to mother nature!
Bethany and Victor planned their wedding from their home in Colorado. Our first meeting was via Facetime and I was so excited when Bethany chose me to photograph their special day. I also had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session in the beautiful neighborhood of Westlake Hills a few steps from the San Gabriel River. It’s always so nice to get to know a couple during an engagement session and it’s a big reason why that time ahead of the wedding is so special to me. I met both Bethany’s and Victor’s parents that day and the entire group welcomed me into their home like family. This was also the day Victor’s dad introduced me to my new favorite wine, Kendall Jackson Chardonnay!
Their wedding day was filled with so much love, warmth, and sincerity from Bethany and Victor’s family and friends! Bethany’s bridesmaids were so incredibly sweet and genuinely excited to be a part of her day. Bethany is so lucky to have such a wonderful and positive circle of close friends and family! Toasts are always one of my absolute favorite parts of a wedding day! The speeches either bring me to tears or make me laugh. In this case, Bethany’s sister’s toast was hilarious!! Bethany and Victor were in tears laughing, along with everyone else, and we all definitely love the cat, Lindsey! The night was filled with joy and dancing thanks in part to the awesome music of Willie D & The Hip Pockets. Bethany and Victor love to dance and wanted to include some dancing shots in their engagement shoot and I knew that once the music began that night, it would be epic.
I’ll never forget when Victor’s dad came up to me at one point that day and told me how much he loved the engagement photos. I’m always so happy to know that I’m able to provide such meaningful and special gifts to others. I am so lucky and so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve all of my past clients, and I’m even more grateful when I’m able to touch their families hearts as well.
Bethany and Victor, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was truly an honor and I’m so excited to share with you a few of my favorite memories!
